We have been told that ideology is a system of beliefs that influence the way a group of people live and act. Ideology is built from human philosophy. These philosophies constitute a system of beliefs that affect and influence the way the people behave.
Colossians 2:8 (KJV) Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
The Biblical concept and advice here suggest that philosophy can spoil. Philosophy can mislead. Philosophy can contaminate our belief. So the Bible warns that we should beware of philosophy. The Christian Life is not to be lived by the perceptions of man.
Romans 12:2 (KJV) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
We should not allow ourselves to be conformed to this world. We should not be controlled by the philosophical beliefs of this world. We should be transformed by the renewing of our minds through the word of God. The word of God is our guiding light as we walk on with God.
Our belief and our faith should stand on the power of God. We should watch so that men do not deceive us with vain words. Let us not allow ourselves to be spoilt by philosophical beliefs.
