We will be considered as disciples of Jesus Christ if we are obeying His commandments. When a person doesn't not obey the doctrines of Jesus Christ, such a person cannot be counted as one of the disciples of Jesus Christ.
The doctrines of Jesus Christ are what will make us true disciples. When we commit ourselves to obeying His commandments, then we can become his true disciples. We must obey everything which Jesus Christ teaches us.
The teachings of Jesus Christ tell us to avoid sin and live, we should live in righteousness. The doctrine teaches us to do good to all men so we should do good to all. The teaching of Jesus Christ shows us how we should live, so, we should do the same. When we do all the things that are taught to us in the doctrines of Jesus Christ, we will become His true disciples.
