All across Tbilisi is some great artwork by "Goshart"
All "italicised" narrative has been taken from an online article
ALL PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MINE
"Goshaart: Street Art That Protects City from Vandalism"
"I do not paint on the walls of buildings, on stone fences or on sidewalks. Temporary building fences, which in Tbilisi can stand for months and years, are quite enough for me."
Once I noticed that if an object is not just cleaned, but provided with a drawing, even ordinary graffiti, then the locals wouldn't wish to spoil it.
I've observed that many drawings stay intact for several years! This gave me the idea that street art can carry not only a visual function, but also protect the city from vandalism.
I also choose to work on bad-looking blind doors, gates in yards, ridiculous iron boxes, that are rusty and dirty.
I seem to get the impression that the artist, likes cats and aliens!
This has to be my favourite
Which bloke and I am sure, some ladies, hasn't been in that situation?

Yes, a brilliant artist adding colour to the streets
Unique art to break the ugly temporary wall structures used to block view, something to keep one entertained while walking.
well it made me smile i guess the locals become blasé to it all
Must make city dwellers proud to have an artist of this caliber design the street boards.
Yes, i would think so, certainky brightens the place up "sympathetic street art"
True, cats and aliens are recurring themes. Wasn't there a cat in The Eighth Passenger? I believe that in a way art would help to protect the surfaces where it is exhibited, but it could be the opposite depending on how it is received and perceived.
I also see a concern of the artist regarding the issues of technology and playful spaces that are lost due to the influence of devices for incommunication hahaha.
Me gusta el arte de Goshaart ;)
cheers @nanixxx , thanks for stopping by, I shall have to google the 8th passenger!!! I think it is well received in Tbilisi as the local council officials do not want to destroy it.
Alien: The Eighth Passenger, or simply Alien. I'm talking about the film.
Thanks to you, I really enjoyed your post.
cheers for that @nanixxx aghhh a film, duh sorry I am not a movie kinda fella.
Drunk o phone is not a bad idea haha
lol, comes in handy
These are wonderful! He's very good. Street art that keeps the city cleaner looking. Such a great idea!
cheers @owasco , thanks for stopping by, totally agree a brilliant artist
Gosh - there is so much to see in Georgia- you were having a field day. The best was saved for last but I loved it all. He beautified the street in such a fitting way - no wonder it is protected. The artist did make the “city brighter”. I also like the one with “no more cats and aliens” - he has a good sense of humor.
yes quite a man tbh his work is sensitive and sensible, everyone should have a drunk a phone lol
Cool to see all the works and the interview of the artist. And he's right: a wall with a beautiful StreetArt work is less likely to be tagged. It beautifies the neighborhood. Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.
Have a great day
totally agree with you, and an excellent artist .
