I'm happy to say we got our first machinist job done today!
Some 1⅛" holes through 304 stainless steel! And some slots through mild steel measuring 9/16" x 13/16".
Everyone got Pats on the back once the work was done!

There is an expression in the German language that is a perfect description of your work.
It goes like this: dicke Bretter bohren. (Translated word for word: drilling thick planks)
But the real meaning is: to put a lot of effort into solving a problem😉
So if you set about solving a problem in future, simply tell your colleague: "Ich gehe dicke Bretter bohren".😊
Boring plank stories are the best kind of boring 😉
