Infinite Selfies

Who doesn't love a selfie? Know I can't be the only one. Would rather point the camera in just about any direction that I wasn't in.

Sometimes that's just not possible. Paid a visit this past weekend to the Speed Art Museum down at the University of Louisville, had to get a little more time in Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirrored Room.

Once they open the door, you have a total of ninety seconds in the Infinite Selfie Infinity Mirrored Room. Not sure why there's a time limit, maybe to make you feel more reflective? Upon further research, that appears the be an institution thing, other Kusama Infinity Rooms had visits as short as thirty seconds.

When we came out for the opening weekend of the room, that ninety seconds came with an hour or two wait. This time around we were the first people in the door of the Speed when they opened, made for a lot less people. Didn't have to wait in line at all this time around, and once our time was up there still wasn't a line. Tickets to the room are free for members, so we just went back to the front desk and got more. Did that until we'd spent close to ten minutes inside, which is just about my yearly limit on selfie taking.

Should probably go back and reflect on that further. . .

I approve of these selfies

It seemed like a special enough occasion to take a few :) That room was something else.
