Kingfishers, A bird of prey

There is a dirt road next to our village field and I saw a Kingfisher while passing by. There is a small pond next to the road and there may be many fish there. The bird came here to eat them. The bird was on the other side of the pond and I was on the opposite side. The side of the pond is very steep , that's where the bird was. I didn't miss taking some photos.

The main food of Kingfishers is fish, along with fish, insects are also on their diet. I have seen them hunting fish many times. When Kingfishers see fish on the surface of the water, they dive and catch them at high speed. They are mostly seen catching small fish. Kingfishers live in holes. There are many holes on the steep slopes of the water bodies. This is their home. Although the bird is a predator, it is very shy. So it is very difficult to take photos of the bird.
