From my own experience as a nature photographer, I always visualize the photograph before going out to look for it. It doesn't always work, as is logical, but in many cases it does, and if it is possible to materialize, the enjoyment is intense.
For some time I have been thinking of photographing a very charismatic bird species, with curious habits, called Green Heron (Aguaitacaimán), which feeds on small fish that it catches in areas where there are bodies of water, either fresh or salt.
One of the places it frequents is El Chivo Beach, at the exit of Havana, and that's where I went, finding it was difficult, and when I had already lost hope and the sun began to fall I saw it preparing to sleep on a rock, I quickly ran to not lose those last rays of sun, the result I loved it, it gave me a special backlight, with orange tones typical of the sunset. More than satisfied, I really can't complain, mission accomplished. Photographs like this remind me why I became a nature photographer.
