RE: Having fun with Intentional Camera Movement photos

in Photography Lovers3 years ago

This is by far the best and sweetest resemblance I have EVER heard!
I love Ilinca, I think we could be good friends, hahaha! Her painting and my photos look quite similar :))
As well as the experimental video, all fit perfectly!

I am glad that you found them "pleasing to look", I wasn't sure :)

If I can pick a favorite, this is it: Entities of the mountain.

I think the last ones got pretty interesting, when I stopped "worrying" about the buject to be recognizable. Looking at it now, I think it is my favorite, too.

Thank you so much for this beautiful message and for sharing the video of amazing Ilinca!

I'm so glad you like the likeness I saw. I saw your joy that you were able to take those photos, a real joy that mature people don't often have. It's different with children, since Ilinca, I can't stop being amazed. I am impressed by her immense desire to learn, to have it all. With children of this age, there is no lie. When she enjoys, she truly enjoys, she is drawn to everything that is new to her! In you, I saw a similar enthusiasm. I can't enjoy myself in that way anymore, for comparison.

The photo I chose has tension in it, the others are beautiful, some are like watercolors, but this one scares me a little, so it stands out from the others.

Actually, I am so honored to be compared to Ilinca :)
Although her enthusiasm must be greater than mine, haha!

Interesting that it scares you! When I was taking each photo, I was looking at the screen to see how the movement had worked, in this particular one, for a moment I believed that another reality had been captured and I thought of all these great spirits of the plants and animals and felt accompanied and happy.
Apart from enthusiasm, I have a great imagination, too :))

Thank you for that. The comparison was a bit risky, some might get upset. I was thinking of the spirit, the personality I guess in Ilinca, the way I imagine you are, so it shows, the permanent young spirit! You are young, but compared to Ilinca, life leaves traces in us. I want to say that the other person who looks like Ilinca and to whom I often say this is Magda, my wife. Magda is 70 years old but she has kept the soul of a child, the joy of a child!

When I saw the photo I was reminded of a famous painting, The Scream by Edward Munch. It struck me as a detail from the painting, with an entity holding its hands over its head. It's very nice that you saw some friendly spirits!

Oh, Magda is the sweetest soul, I can see it in every detail in the photos :)

I am sooo happy I didn't think of The Sream while shooting, hahaha!

Thank you, I dare say you know people well, especially since you do it indirectly, from different pieces gathered from different places. Impressive!
Good thing you didn't think! Anyway, with the ICM technique, you can't really know what the result will be. Maybe it looks like a child's watercolor or a famous painting... Maybe let your imagination find similarities and meanings when looking at the photos.

I trust my intuition when it comes to people, and this feeling in the stomach. Of course, I have been pleasantly or unpleasntly surprised many times!

It really needs some practice as with all techniques. But I am doing it for fun, so I am pretty happy this way :)

So does Magda, she has great faith in intuition. Whenever something goes wrong she says it's because she didn't listen to her intuition! When it comes to people I think it's more than intuition. All sorts of abilities that we don't know ourselves help us to have an opinion. I, for example, have been right more times than I have been wrong when I have had an opinion about a person.

You certainly do it for fun and because you like the result of your action, but in the end, it can be compared to a toy that will be forgotten after a while.
