Yes, that would be nice! :d:x Pleas come! We'll throw a tea party :p
Why do you ask? Don't tell me you're talking about my writting! If that would be the case, it's funny cause if you'd hear me talking, you'd think I didnt write this post! lol. Me speaking English is so unpleasant! :D:D I'm better with writting, I suppose! But thanks though! I really appreciate it!
Or maybe you know some other Romanian people? I'm not sure I understand it right.
Well your writing is very good, but I notice you also had quite a few books and games in English.
Coming from an English background, we don't see much foreign language around us, so my assumption was that each country was the same in that unless you specifically look into learning foreign languages you won't encounter others that much. However, I'm now starting to learn that quite a few countries use English almost as much as their mother tongue and some even use multiple languages regularly. So I was wondering at what level it was used in your country.
Ahh I knew you weren't talking about my writting haha:P
hmm....first, 50% of our books are in English and when he watches TV (that's only a bit and always educational theme shows), the cartoons/tv shows are in English. Plus, I read him in English and also talk with him in English. That's because I want him to learn the language and I know that on this age magical things happen:). Best time to teach kids foreign languages.
In my opinion, talking about Romania, the number of people that speak English is high, especially if we look closely to the last few generations. Yes, you are pretty right. You learn other languages especially if you want to, not because someone will tell you or help you do that. Other than primary school and highschool, nobody (for example guvernamental institutions or others similar) will encourage people to learn other languages.
Because English is the most widely used international language, it is spoken and used so often in other countries . That's why you didnt see it happen where you're from.
In Romania, English is the second language spoken and at this level and how I see it, I think that ALL future generations will learn English faster and better than before.
