On Tuesday I was up at 5AM and got the photos edited and the post up. Then I got laundry started and cleaned the kitchen. My brother was up early and we took his car to the mechanic to drop off.
Before we left he disposed of the mouse Larry had caught in the night. When we got back we found a huge grasshopper Larry had dispatched on the doormat. He was a busy hunter!
I had to help my brother with some paperwork before my helper friend arrived at 9:30AM. I had 15 minutes I could make a cup of tea before he arrived when we finished.
He was going to wash the cold frame covers (on right above) while I emptied out the garden shed.
Once I had it emptied, he raked out the dirt in the back and helped me carry around the 4” x 4” pieces. We laid them out and they made a nice level floor. Then we got the cold frame covers inside. They had been sitting in the sun and had mostly dried. They went in the upper left corner.
These stones had been in the back to keep wood and metal things off the dirt. They would still be doing that job.
I’d had to organize things, like stacking pots and taking out things that didn’t belong in the shed. I also hung all the tools back up.
I’d wished I had time to clean and roll the pea fences that are still in the Small garden. It would have been much easier hanging them up without everything in there.
About 11:45AM a BuyNothing person arrived to get butterflyweed seedpods. I’d thought I’d send my helper on an errand at noon, but then I found a heavy pot full of sand. I’d need help dumping it, plus I hadn’t gotten most of the stuff back in by noon.
I was supposed to stop at noon to get ready to go to the dentist. So I changed plans and he continued to help with the shed until it was done at 12:20PM.
He left at 12:30PM.
So everything is back in, but there was another job in there I didn’t get to: cleaning the shelf area.
I had done a little bit with the undershelf area, in order to get the flowerpots in there. But there was a big mess on top of the shelf. That will have to be another day, along with the pea fences.
So I was racing around doing windows against the sun (I’d forgotten to do them before going outside), eating lunch, getting a shower, etc. The driver arrived early and had to wait, as I wasn’t ready until 1PM on the dot.
They had given him an hour to get me to the town ½ hour away, as construction on the roads is so bad in this area this year. We made it through just fine with the ½ hour to spare. So I asked to stop at the grocery store to pick up a few things.
We arrived at the dentist right on time and when I got home, my son was out weedwacking around the shelter. I got to sit down for about 1½ hours before my brother came back. He wanted to go pick up his car so we got that done.
I had also been doing laundry as I could all day long but didn’t finish it. It was a very busy day and I was in bed on time.
On Wednesday it’s to be another hot day, mid 80’s, and my #2 intern is coming for 7AM. We will continue in the New Herb garden. I hope to get things tied up out of the walkway and a LOT of deadheading done while she works on her rows.
If it gets too hot before our 11AM quitting time, we’ll probably do errands.
You have a nice size garden shed! I really need a big and proper garden shed one day.
Things are getting sorted out and organized as you continue with your tasks. Very steady and consistent!
All of you are so hardworking, your brother, your son and you, even your helpers. Hardwork pays and with your dedication, you get wonderful results.
Seems you have a lot of things to do! It well be done and can't wait to see the new garden shed. :D

What a huge job getting the shed done, good for you to organize everything. That is a hard job with so much stuff for gardening.
I know! And being a packrat doesn't help! It hadn't been done in at least 2 years.
On one of these slower days I have my shed and the garage to do before winter sets in.
It must have really been a whole lot of work for you to carry out for the day as I am sure of that
What’s the meaning of weedwacking that your son did?
What does it mean?
It’s a hand held gas fired machine with a whirling head with tough string coming out. It cuts down weeds and grass.
Wow
You’re so hardworking to have done all of that
Well done
A lot of work done..... I can see the way you are arranging your tools in order in the storage house. Excellent job.
Gradually you are getting everything done and I am really happy for this
So much stuff done, I could feel the tiredness just by imagining everything 😆
