LOL. I am not surprised. Afterall Broward is where the Sheriff and the stand down during the school shooting occurred. Also the place where the shooter was visited dozens of times by the police, but they kept that not reported in a way that would prevent gun legal purchases due to an Obama era (not blaming, just setting time frame) program that schools received more if they had less minority crime. Easier to do that if you have the police agreeing not to report those crimes. This is happening other places besides Broward, but the police in that particular county seem pretty shady already.
As to the elections... Plenty of articles linked talking about the lady involved there. She was found guilty in 2016, so what sane person would leave her in a position to repeat crimes?
It's a mess.
Election issues happened all over the country. I was hearing about quite a few of them on election day. Though today the bulk of the news is certainly focused on Florida. I didn't cherry pick.
In Nevada, a dead brothel owner won his election. Sanity has only a tenuous relationship with the electoral process.
I don't think it is sane to give groups of people power. I think it makes it to easy for the ignorant to remain ignorant. The, but we have to is the cry of a slave. We don't have to do or have anything.
