How to improve your social skills

There are people born with what is known as "gift of the people". They are those who know how to fit into any social situation and get out of the way, who are easy to relate to others and whose personal relationships are very fluid.

For other people, on the other hand, social interaction becomes a calvary, as they do not know well how to handle these situations. However, the lack of these skills does not imply that we should give up our social life because we can improve them so that we like it better and be better and more valued by others.

To achieve this, it is enough to follow a series of guidelines:

- When greeting and beginning a conversation, do it naturally and present (unless the situation establishes that someone else does) Look into the eyes of the people with whom albas, so that communication is more direct and fluid.

- Active listening: in a conversation it is not enough to listen, we must show the other person that we are tying with what he is saying, that we are understanding and that we are interested in what he says, indicating with gestures or words that we are listening. When you respond, do not just respond with monosyllables, but make sure the conversation is balanced. Do not change the subject abruptly and, above all, do not make gestures that indicate that you are getting tired of the conversation.

- When someone asks you for something, if you have to give a negative answer, explain the reason. You have the right to say no and to stand firm in your position, but to take charge of the other's feelings. It's time to be alert and not fall into blackmail of the type "if you love me, you would."
