It's a typical Argentinean food, I hope you like it!
Ingredients:
Onion
Morron
Potatoes
Pumpkin / squash
Carrot (By choice)
Meat
Bacon (Choice)
sausage
Red chorizo
Tomato pure
Lentils
Oregano
Salt and pepper
Ground Aji
Cumin
Flavoring broth
Step by Step
1- The first thing you have to do to save time and that the lentils are well cooked is to boil water in a saucepan with a little salt and place the lentils.
2- Following this concept of not wasting time the following is to remove the threads to the sausages, peel the red chorizo (sounds strong) and put them to boil together with the lentils to later be able to cut them later without being disarmed, (In the case That you want to make it more "healthy", boil apart because the water where they are boiling both the lentils and the sausages we will use in the stew and the sausages are going to drop the fat: taste)
3- Once done the previous two steps, while boiling, cut the onion and the morron in small cubes, I have no idea how the cut is called but it is seen in the images. Take another pan previously with hot oil to fry them.
4- Let the onion and the morron fry and in the meantime cut the meat into cubes of the size they prefer.
5- Once we finished cutting the meat we added it to the pan where the onion and morron were being sautéed.
6 - While the meat is sealed we cut the potatoes, squash and carrot (I did not put it) in cubes of the same size to taste but even for a good pair cooks the redundancy.
7- Remove the common sausages and the colorado of the pan where they were along with the lentils and cut them into slices of the thickness that they prefer (Wait for it to cool down, do not get burned ... it's not that it happened to me. ..)
8- We put the sausages in the pan where the meat was being sold along with the onion and the morro and we added the tomato puree later.
9- To that preparation we add two or three cups of water, that depends on how light or you do not want it, we cut bacon if you are going to put it, we cut the flavoring broth and we add the condiments (Oregano, ground Aji, cumin, salt and pepper)
10- We now add the potatoes, carrot and squash previously cut into cubes to the preparation, salpimentamos and leave covered the pan about 15 min.
11- Once the 15 minutes have passed, we add the lentils along with the water where they were cooking to the whole preparation.
12- Cover the pan for about 20 minutes or as long as you think the lentils are to the point they like.
