It may a bit pricey but where else can you get the same experience that a cinema provides?
The Movie-theater industry has decreased a lot it's popularity thanks to streaming services.
People prefer to staying at home watching movies, without expending money.
But, there are some movies that deserve the effort. Here are 5 reasons to convice you:
1) Big Screen:
Maybe you think that sitting in the theater watching a massive white sheet won't matter if you have a big TV at home, but remember scale has an unique ability to sweep you away. The colors are incredible and you will get pulled into the story in a way that you don't feel when you're sitting on your couch at home.
2) Surround sound:
Most will say that their home stereo system is just like a movie, I beg to differ. The movies now are so complex that it feels as if you are in the action as it is happening.
And imagine if you want to go to iMax theather with special "4-D" sound. Totally, not like home.
3) No distractions:
For nearly two hours everyone in the theater is locked into the film. But, in your own home, there are so many things that will distract you, like your roomates, family members who decide to talk to you out loud when you're watching the movie, your phone, computer, even your pets won't make you totally focus.
4) Spending quality-time with someone:
Going to the movies with friends or your significant other can be a cherished pastime, especially when you’re surrounded by an excited audience. It's a way to escape from your daily life and do something different.

I really fell back in love with the theater because of Dolby Cinemas. They really upped the viewing experience with better seating, better sound, and two laser projectors for 4k HDR with wide color gamut content. The comparison between standard IMAX and standard theaters is night and day.
I agree with you! That experience can never compare to watch movies at our sofa. When it's a movie we're excited to watch, we should make the effort.
