MDMA also has it downsides, especially after a couple of days, one need the face the lack of serotonin, but when realising that, one can deal with it. Not so good for those who are depressive by nature. Alcohol is also a drug, but is so commonly accepted that we don't call it a drug but by its name and have no real negative emotions when talking about it or even using it. Anything else we put in the 'bad' corner of society and the mass generally think someone is addicted when from time to time using substances like MDMA.
Awareness is now being created for marihuana with several states in the USA this substance being legal and also in Uruguay. However a country that was very liberal about marihuana the last 40 to 50 years (the Netherlands), this substance is still officially illegal although it can be bought in shops with sellers licenses. Also Marihuana has healing powers and lots of research is done already in the 70s and 80s of last century, but for some reasons it was always put into the corner of not wanted as a medicine.
Humans are a strange species and far from rational and objective.
