Just imagine yourself succeeding.
Like a professional skier imagining every turn of a ski run before making it, even in the abstract can activate a dominant belief in your ability to succeed thinking yourself on the other side of a problem. Yet if today you have no idea how to win, a confidence that you can see even a blind belief can be delegated if it's a belief in yourself.
When your life-condition is low, then avoid making important life decisions.
These kinds of thoughts you'll have in general are always more reflective of your life-condition at the moment rather than the conditions in which you find yourself. You'll best refrain from future misery if you can consciously recognize. When your life-condition is higher, are nowhere to be found. When conditions have gotten you down and thereby produced gloomy feelings and defeatist thoughts.
Imagine you've already achieved the desired goal
When you are confident, then bathe now in the joy you anticipate you'll feel later. I've often found that daydreaming about future successes raises my confidence and spirits by bouncing my mind out of my present tensions and difficulties into future imagined glories.
Focus on one specific issue at one time.
Only concentrate on what is the most accessible, most important, or that which you can solve very soon and quickly. Reducing the total number of trials facing you will be an enormous relief and help combat the tendency to feel defeated when facing what seems to be an overwhelming number of problems.
Retrieve your creativity to solve issues.
Find something to distract you. Take a real break from considering your issues when you're not actively engaged in solving them. Because it's much harder to turn off possessive thoughts about the challenges facing you than turn on more positive thoughts, finding something genuinely distracting is the best strategy. Humor works for me as long as it is the comedy that is authentically funny. Nothing wrong with taking a break from fighting the good fight to recharge your batteries. In fact, strange as this may say, there is nothing wrong with engaging in controlled refusal. As long as you don't let it prevent you from acting when action is required, it can be a useful way to fight anxiety. Or...
Take on your fear directly.
Identify the thoughts that make you anxious and follow them to their rational utmost. Enclose your mind around what it would feel like for your worst fears to be handled. What would you do then? Often if we force ourselves to think the worst in stable conditions, it feels less panic fight than it does when we believe it genuinely.
Ask for help. You don't have to do it all by yourself. I struggle with this one very much, not just that I have any disinclination to ask for help, but because I just rarely seem to think to do it.
Accept unpleasant that you must face
Stop trying to avoid and worrying about experiencing pain Whatever there is to explore. The longer you wait to handle it, the more anticipant fear you'll feel as well. Enjoy what there is to enjoy and regard both joy and suffering as facts of life.
Whatever you're going through actually does represent an opportunity for growth. The thing about platitude is that they're mostly right.
Great advice @hamzayousaf. One must be confident in his/her abilities, and be optimistic. The fear of failure is the #1 reason why people procrastinate, which in turn reduces their productivity. What you must do instead is to grab the bull by his horns. In other words, face your challenges with confidence. One good way to do so, like you said, is to divide big tasks into smaller managable ones.
you are right..Most people have a hard time accepting and dealing with these challenges that arise. The truth is that you will have to deal with difficult problems throughout your life, whether it is in your personal life or career.
