About a week ago my dad was bitten by a tick and over the last fews days his condition has deteriorated really badly.
He was admitted to hospital on Friday yet despite medication he was not getting any better.
This morning he woke up covered in spots.... THANKFULLY as this was the symptom that made the doctors realise it was tick bite fever and one of the worsr strains too which I have been educated, if untreated is lethal.
We live about 1.5hrs drive from my dad and i am in the car writing this as we head home.
He is thankfully looking a lot better than he was and is now able to converse with those around him.
It was a really big perspective wake up seeing such a strong and "invincible" man lying so weak on his back.
But he has regained his sense of humour and that is a really good sign ❤
So I may or may not write when I get home later, depending on how much energy i have later...
But I simply HAD to share this sky with you as we head home.

I'm so sorry @jaynie-- that has to be really scary. I hope your dad makes a full and speedy recovery. Life is remarkably fragile... it's important to be grateful what we have while we're living in each moment.

Yeah it is quite crazy!!! And he was bitten by and got one of the most lethal kind. Nasty little shites!

The sky is so beautiful. One don't always realize how bad, certain insect or spider bites can be. One must be really careful when bitten. My wife landed in hospital after a spider bite earlier this year, and also took some time to heal after the ordeal!!
That is so true. It is quite insane how such a tiny little creature can essentially kill another which is so much larger. That is perspective right there... and a massive reality check in the food chain of life.

Prayers for him, this tick problem seems to be really bad in many countries, humans are so good at making things extinct, can we not save the honey bees and kill all the ticks....worldwide!
