Me and my ramblings... It's a nice break from doing creative writing. Maybe that's the vacation I'm on. Brain vacation. Maybe I'll just stop thinking for a week. That should help. Or maybe my thinking went on vacation and didn't tell me? That's too much to think about...
I don't live in the USA either. I've become quite bored of their mainstream style entertainment. I caught a glimpse of one of those singing shows recently. The things the judges say after a performance reminded of the spam comments we get here. I wanted to flag them.
Brain vacations are nice, I need to take more of those. Does your brain not take vacations when working on your art? Atleast part of it. Then the artsy side can take vacation when you type up these posts and do comments and such. I think people work like that, don't they? But what do I know, I'm no brain scientist.
Oh yes, all the reality show crap is horrible here in the Netherlands too. There's just too much of it. They are now airing this commercial: "You can sing, but aren't good enough to join a talent show? Sign up for reality show #984817 so we can help you get ready for the real deal!".
I have to admit though, I watch the singing shows sometimes, for the singers. The big problem is that it's 20% singing, 40% BS and 40% commercials.
