The Albuquerque Biopark latest feature is a renovated and upgraded pollinator pavilion. The previous exhibit was marked by a short season of mid spring to early fall, however the new pavilion is open year round. It is an immersive exhibit, where you are surrounded by hundreds of colorful butterflies, moths, and bumble bees. The exhibit focuses on the importance of pollinators, offering a hands on learning experience that can be appreciated by people of all ages.
The structure itself is a thing of beauty: a rustic wooden enclosure, looming above all the greenery of the botanical gardens.
The exhibit is unique in it’s impressive beauty of being engulfed in a swarm of color. Not only are you surrounded by all of the lovely pollinators, including luna moths and emperor butterflies, but there is also a wealth of gorgeous blooms to be seen all around. Perhaps there is no more lovely a place in Albuquerque than this pollinator pavillion, a showcase of delicate, colorful, and graceful nature. A place where the important symbiotic relationship between pollinators and plants is celebrated and taught.
