I can so relate to your story. My customers tend to always do the same thing. It really feels awkward as the work has been done. See like for example the bakery, you buy a bread, you pay! It isn't that you can tell him: thank you for the bread, I'll pay next month. It feels more and more disrespectfull from my customers to let me wait for my own money!
