There is always a point of contact if you think of impact or influence.
If you want to teach me what you know, you must first know what i know and relate with me from the level to add more value.
There really may not be any sustained influence of there is no "common ground" of similarity and association. Influence like they say does not come to us instantaneous, it is a gradual process that at some point is trust pegged.
Everyone could easily sit down and make a long list as to the people that has added value to our lives.
For the records i got the vibe, spark of inspiration to write on this after having some funful "ah hah moment" reading through the post of some friends on my feed especially those that were tagged with #mondaymancrush, #wednesdaywomancrush and #grafulvibes (day of gratitude).
Wrapped in the awesomeness of these respective contents the rhetorical question was: Who is on your influence list?.

Like every other person most of the time you are swift to recognise the influence those closest to us have in our lives for good or ill. But sometimes we are a bit clueless on the influence or impact we have on other people around us.
I suppose as you hence interact with your friends, family, colleagues, with the receptionist at the office, the bus driver and more in your sphere of contact, recognise that your your life touches many other lives through them.
My life shall touch a dozen life before this day is gone. Leave countless marks for good or ill ere sets the evening sun.

The actual number of persons you should impact is not the primary concern here: the critical concern should be that you live intentionally to at least touch the life one person per day for good. Understand that influence is not static. Every influence you make on a person life has its own ripple effect and would be passed to the net generation of contact.

Understand that some of us are not just here to make a living but to shine as light in love and benevolence (goodness) and because of us others would have a reason to smile again and live life fresh.
There is no other way of impacting this ecosystem than making it better than we met it.
If for instance you stopped blogging for months, who would notice?
What vacuum would your absence cause?
We exactly may not know what that dream life is for you at the moment or the kind of legacy you wanna leave behind.

The truth is, if you want to make an impact, you must have to be a person of influence. Invest in your sphere (community) with the goodness of your personality. When you become a person of influence then maybe somehow someday would write down your name on the list of those that has made invaluable impact in their lives.
