SHEEP, WOLF OR DOG. WHERE DO YOU BELONG??

in #lifestyle7 years ago

I was at a friend's place sometimes ago and a freshman party was organised in the hostel. Most of them being Freshmen were partying and having fun.

As the party went on it happened by circumstance that a lady was called upon to do something ridiculous (but wasn't the worst on the day though) and to my surprise she declined and even refused to be fined.

I watched with Utmost curiosity as the drama ensued, the lady later got bailed then went somewhere to sit alone. Giving in to my Curiosity I went across to her and tried to know why she refused.

She blurted out, ITS ALL RUBBISH, THIS IS IMMORAL.
Then I made a face and asked, what were you expecting???
And she couldn't talk. I challenged her further by asking what was she doing within the circle when she didn't approve of the game. She still couldn't answer, then I said to her. YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU BELONG.

Just like that lady, most folks I've met especially young people don't know where they belong. They dont know if they are a Sheep, or a Dog or a wolf. They just row with the tide. That is the most effective shortcut to mediocrity.

You don't row with the tide, It's wrong to do things because others are doing it. I've seen people do some bad things to a point where they are no longer sure whether it's a good idea. I wonder whether BAD OR GOOD has degrees. What's WRONG IS WRONG..... there's no Barometer.

It doesn't matter what others think about it, what matters is what you think. Stop trying to be like Jack, Joe and Smith at each time. If you continue You'd lose yourself. You won't know where you belong.

Take animals for example, each one may not be Unique amongst it Kith and Kin but it's definitely unique amongst other animals. That's why we can say Dogs do these, Wolves do that and Cats do these etc... It's because Dogs don't try to be Cats or Wolves. Everywhere you find them Dogs are Dogs.

That's the Rule behind Uniqueness, You've got to be YOU anytime, anywhere you find yourself.
Don't try to blend in. You'd lose yourself.

Stop trying to take on Confusing personalities, stop trying to change responses towards situations to suit the environment.
BE YOU, BE A CAT, OR A DOG OR A WOLF BUT NEVER TRY TO BE ALL 3 OR TWO AT ONCE.

Stick to where you belong, Improve where you belong, Increase where you belong. Don't create confusion for yourself like the lady illustrated above.

BE YOU, BE WISE.
