One way to help this is to hide the amount of votes and dollars that each post has generated. Even if you could still find it through steemd or other sites it might lead voters to vote for what they like more than what they think will get a lot of votes. On the other hand the value of the post transparency is probably one of the best marketing tools for the site. So maybe let Steem get bigger before tampering with voting.
