I posted last week about a project I was working on and how it was an unusual project in terms of its length..
I’m pleased to say that the edit has since been finished and released.

It’s 8 minutes of sugary pop-on-pop covers brilliantly performed by an 11 piece band of talented musicians.

We shot once again at the Nave studio in Leeds.
The edit took slightly longer to deliver as I’ve had a variety of other shoots on, but I think I delivered in the 2 week window that I generally to suggest to clients.
After this job and two others I have on the go, my aim is to focus on shooting another STEEM commercial as I promised a month or so back.
I’m excited to develop my ideas and make something that the community would be proud to share :)

how many takes did you take for this?
Approximately 10 takes, which left us to pack up just in time to exit the venue! We very nearly went over, so I'm glad we kept to the schedule!
that is something i am never sure, how much material is enough for a decent edit. well i did only 3 amateur music videos that were on playback, rest of it was live while music was recorded all in one take, so i have time to learn 😁

Depends how confident you are in the shots you are getting as you go. For me I know if I nailed what I wanted or not after each one.
I am a believer that things can be over-shot and lose that certain essence you’re trying to capture.
But with this kind of corporate-aimed thing it’s pretty easy - they’re a different kind of performer, there’s no particular art, it’s all about confident smiley delivery and we’re golden. Client is happy!
