If you are asking would I voluntarily eat a rat on a dare when better food is available then no. If it is a situation with no other food and I am in dire straits then yes I would eat rats to prevent starvation. One of the first rules of survival is to eat whatever will act as a source of food no matter how unappetizing. If I am too picky in the beginning of a bad situation to not eat rats and would rather starve; by the time I change my mind and get desperate enough to eat one I would probably be too weak from starvation to even catch a rat to eat it.
the truth is not if I knew that what I'm eating is a rat but otherwise you can never know that it can be like any other type of meat so the difference would be almost zero
