RE: BuzzSteem - YouTube's Advertising Strategy is Unsustainable [Dtube Exclusive]

in #news7 years ago

Hello hello young lady!

YouTube's advertising model is also unsustainable because it's unrelenting and annoying... I sometimes just bang on some music videos on a 2nd laptop while I'm working... which means I get interrupted by the same stupid commercials every 3 minutes... or, I watch an hour long video that has 3 ad breaks. It's gotten real bad and I'm super over it.

You're right though, my YouTube account is hooked up to our TV and my wife and I have very different interests.. which confuses YT no end.

You know I think will happen? Companies like NIKE will get an official Steem account and drop 20/50 thou on their account.. they'll then drop massive upvotes on people that do shoe reviews, or wear Nikes in their videos... which will encourage everyone to start adding some Nike in their Dtube videos. Companies are all over Facey and Insta, it's not going to be long before they hit here as well... and I think that'll be the way content creators keep afloat.... or Squarespace will drop big upvotes on people who add a little segment in their videos.

The beauty about this model is that the Nikes and the Squarespaces can then retrieve their marketing budget by powering down - so they essentially end up advertising for free.
