Onixcoin, one of the first FinTech projects in Venezuela (totally blockchain based) presents its Roadmap 2018-2019, announcing the new strategic plan for its project Building a crypto-country.
This new year, Venezuela and the crypto community will receive various initiatives from the Onix developers team to promote the adoption of cryptocurrencies in the country from four different angles: the development of the Onix Core, the positioning of the company as a payment method , the incorporation of a loan platform and the establishment of Onix embassies.
CORE
Among the initiatives announced from the Core, the first is the development of a REST API and web socket that facilitates the integration of this blockchain. On the way to the goal of making 2018 the year of integrations to Onixcoin, they plan to create three new wallets between April and October: a multiform for iOS; another with the same qualities for Windows and Linux environments; and finally a web wallet.
In addition, they will implement a testnet for the improvements that the network will have and establish subsystems that allow increasing the number of transactions per second currently supported by the Onix blockchain.
ONIXCOIN FOR PAYMENTS
Another of the goals set for this year - in this case, between the months of June and August - is to establish a directory of businesses that accept Onix as a payment method. This will be related to the development of a payment platform that works for the purchase of everyday items at points of sale, as would be bought with a fiat currency, but with Onixcoin.
This development will be followed by the launch of an API for the construction of other payment alternatives using Onix in January 2019, together with the launch of the platform for web payments with Onixcoin.
In the Road Map, large projects are planned for all those who join the ecosystem during this year, building important solutions for the users of cryptocurrencies in Venezuela.
LOAN PLATFORM
The Onixcoin map also announces the launch of its lending platform during the second quarter of 2018. It would have its alpha version in April, beta version in June and version 1.1 in August of this year.
In this regard, the CEO of Onixcoin, Ángel Salazar, comments:
After the legalization of the use of cryptocurrencies in Venezuela as a method of payment and protection of value, Onix assumed the challenge of expanding its operations and scope to satisfy the national demand.

EMBASSIES ONIX
Finally, to achieve its adoption objectives, the Onix strategic plan proposes the creation of a program of embassies that will help the exponential growth of the project in a short period of time. For the month of April they plan the creation of an embassy by state in Venezuela, which means that in the next three months all Venezuelan states will have their own Onix embassy.
According to Salazar, this strategic plan is the sign of Onix's commitment to the bitcoin environment in Venezuela. It is launched and presented a few weeks after the creation of the agencies that will govern and conduct the process of legalization of cryptoactive as a method of payment in the country, the Superintendence of Cryptocurrency and the Blockchain Observatory of Venezuela. In this framework, the new challenges assumed by the Onix project include great efforts to promote their inclusion in exchange houses.
This roadmap will be presented at The North American Bitcoin Conference in the city of Miami, on January 18 and 19. Framed in the Bitcoin World Forum, the North American conference will bring together experts in the technology of distributed accounting, digital currencies and initial offers of currencies influential in the ecosystem. Among these experts is Ángel Salazar, CEO of Onixcoin.
Salazar will share the stage with heavyweights from the blockchain ecosystem such as Charlie Shrem, Ryan Taylor, Halsey Minor and Stacy Herbert. Onix is one of the sponsors of this event, a fact that speaks for itself of the exponential growth at a national and international level that this project has had since its inception until today.
