In the video, Pérez makes a tour of the place where the incident happened and clarifies that there were civilians and that they were already negotiating with the officials of the elite operative.

It is worth noting that last Monday, January 15, a surprise police deployment was made to capture the former policeman Oscar Perez, which culminated almost 10 hours later with the death of the rebels Óscar Pérez, José Alejandro Pimentel, Daniel Soto, Lisbeth Ramírez, Jairo and Abraham Lugo and the leader of the group Las Tres Raíces on January 23, Heiker Vázquez.

A few hours after his death, the government ordered the militarization of the accesses to the Bello Monte morgue, thus preventing family members from recognizing the corpses.

After 72 hours of the murder, the government agrees to bury the bodies - despite having threatened to burn them - at dawn and without the right to wake. He also restricted the entrance to people who wanted to be present at the funeral, and allowed only two family members to enter the cemetery for the dead.

Óscar Pérez revolted in the month of June 2017 when he flew over Caracas in a helicopter with a banner calling on citizens to apply Article 350 of the Constitution.

In the month of December he returned to action when he led an assault on a military barracks, in which they took the weapons without leaving a single wounded. The former Cicpc official also reproached the soldiers for their loyalty to the Maduro regime.
