This Week in the Sndbox
Welcome to the 30th State of the Sndbox newsletter! This past week, we’re all about the DTube videos! We’ve got a couple greats ones for Steemit discussion including one looking at the potential impact of Steemit SMTs on the ICO landscape and a Behind the Scenes look at the Steem Park documentary. We also shared a new article expanding on SMT business models and even a guest video from the super creative @sndbox-alpha team.

New Business Models on the Steem Blockchain
Curious about how new companies are making use of the Steem blockchain? Have a look at our latest article outline two major adopters of the technology, making use of key functionalities not offered on other blockchains in order to create a unique decentralized service for the public. Both VICE and Bob’s repair will be out in the market soon so take this opportunity to learn about their great development!
The article expands on the upcoming functionalities of Smart Media Tokens that will eventually allow everyone to tokenize their services and specialized content. We, like most of the Steemit community, are eagerly awaiting this new precedent in empowering creative work.

ICOs vs. IPOs
Speaking of the new token landscape, we broadcasted a recent conversation on @dtube of all the ways we think Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) will change the way businesses create and distribute equity in the modern world. We may see an age where founders no longer have to sacrifice ownership and direction for investment percentages, all while empowering their user base and community with the capacity to contribute to their token ecosystem.

@sndbox-alpha is a themed curation account operated by the 1st cohort of the @sndbox incubator. Each month, a new curation team operates the account to vote on great new content by the broader Steemit community. The group got extra groovy this month and even managed to create a collaborative song and music video incorporating each of the team members’ talents.

It is exciting to come across your posting, there's always a surprise hidden within it... The advent of SMT's is still something I look forward to learn more about and can'T wait to see what the implication of their adoption will create. The ICOs sure have and will bring about a monumental change in how businesses are funded and I look forward to see what the future has in line for this new paradigm.
