Apple has updated its App Store statistics page to inform the adoption of the iOS 11 operating system (OS) to the developer community. Based on the latest data, the adoption rate of IOS 11 has reached 65 percent as of January 18, 2018.
Apple data that means as much as 65 percent of the total iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices that are now using the OS that was first released in September 2017. The number rose six percent from last month's adoption of 59 percent.
Reported Softpedia, Tuesday (23/1/2018), Apple always update the App Store statistics page every month. This is done so that the application developers always get the latest information about iOS adoption rate.
In addition, Apple also revealed adoption rates for other iOS versions. iOS 10 for example, is already used by 28 percent of Apple mobile devices.
The rest is a combined version of the old iOS that is equal to seven percent. Only seven percent of iPhone, iPad, and iPod sign in to the App Store for the past six weeks with older iOS versions. However, Apple did not provide details about the OS version.
Adoption of iOS 11 Can Translucent 100 Percent
The iOS 11 adoption rate has steadily improved since the OS was released. Adoption of iOS 11 is predicted to reach 100 percent before iOS 12 released this year if the OS update comes with security patches and important features.
For example, iOS 11.2.5 software that will be present this week is expected to boost the adoption rate by five percent because it contains some important features.
This is considered to make more and more users update their devices with the OS.
In addition, Apple CEO Tim Cook, also said it will bring important updates related to new battery features.
As for iOS 12, Apple is believed to announce it at the 2018 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in the middle of this year. The final version of iOS 12 for users is expected to release in mid-September 2018.
Monitor iPhone Battery Health on iOS 11
Apple is preparing to bring the latest version of iOS 11. According to Cook, users through this new OS version can adjust the ability of the battery.
Users are enabled to turn off features in iOS that are purposefully created to decrease battery performance.
This OS update comes following Apple's recognition that deliberately degrades the performance of the old iPhone to keep the battery life.
In an interview with ABC News, Cook said the update will launch next month for developers before it's released to the public.
"We will give users the ability to know the battery health of their devices, so this is very transparent," he said.
