The Lady in the forest (oil painting on paper)

Yesterday was really a cold rainy day here and everything looked like in a Autumnal atmosphere. Grey sky, all the plants covered by a lot of little raindrops, cold wind and I couldn't hear the songs of the birds who usually fly around the plum tree in my backyard.

Inspiring by the weather, I decided to work on a new painting: one of my yellow Lady between some autumnal trees.

It's an oil painting on paper (on a sheet of 200 gsm paper in A4 size) and I painted every leaves on those trees thinking about the colors of them in Autumn.Few leaves in brown, ocher and black too. Just few highligt and more shadows. Just the yellow dress of the Lady seems to give light to this piece.

Today is not raining (at now ^_^) and I really hope in a bit of Sun to feel myself more inspired by a Springtime scene to paint. Also my little helper (my cat Richy) looks like in the Autumnal season: he's sleeping all the day on the sofa, going out just for some minutes. He doesn't like the rain on his hair ^_^

Your lady in the forest look so lonely^^ But charming ~ Grey color leads all the mood of this painting. And the tree, I guess, hug the lady alone. So warm and tender it is. Otherwise a lady in the middle of the fall is waiting for love ^^ I really appreciate your work ~~ wonderful!
