Totem poles and wooden masks no longer suggest tribal villages
but fashionable drawing rooms in New York and Paris.

I love this initiative!! Great idea :) I was thinking of posting fridays - funky friday will help me remember :) Thank you!
excellent sounds awesome , most welcome friend
You've just inspired me to load the Photoshop actions that have been collecting dust on my hard drive and see what I can make for your #funkyedits, @krazypoet.
awesome so glad to hear your inspired to have fun with it. enjoy always
I love this type of photo editing when it's used sparingly as you did - The totem photo is really fascinating and seems more dramatic using the #funkyedits app
Thanks sir. I like it this way as well. Although I do also enjoy the real photo bc of the blue sky .
i agree- the blue sky is amazing!!!! hehehe but the first one almost looks like something painted on a terra cotta pot!!! very cool!!!
Yes...you're right. I love terra cotta colors.
Oh that is cool. Is that smoke rising around the totem pole in the Picasso effect?
No....it's the clouds.....or the totem is smoking :)
nicely edited but for me the original still stands out though. thank you for sharing this.
Thanks @bigmike420. Sorry this is late. Steemit was so slow the last two days and where I thought I had replied, it didn't connect. I appreciate your input.
Upvoted ☝ Have a great day!

Haha I like that statue thing. Both images are fun. That one's hat looks oddly like the hats that adorn some of the Easter Island heads.
There are some impressive totem poles in the Field Museum of Chicago. They actually have a fascinating exhibit on native cultures of North America.
It's a huge totem pole on the path along the river....it sort of designates where the public and aboriginal areas stop and begin. We can still walk on the path but it's just there. Very tall and yes it does look like the Easter Island heads, you're right.
cool. photoshop?
Yes....it's a fun tag to follow. I enjoy playing around with photos so this is a good one for me. I think I'll do it weekly.
cool :)
A very funky edit LOL!!! I think I will use this tag a lot...
Me too...I love being artsy....it's fun. I'm going to do this on Fridays...Funky Fridays :)
Just wow!
Upvoted and gonna restemmed your post.
Enjoy your time.
Thank you @princepr. :)
My pleasure for being with you countrygirl.
Very cool edit, what an interesting effect!
Thanks @keithboone.....very fun effect. I love this kind of thing. :)
really beautiful art....Picasso effect makes face of statue more clear to be seen...I like it my friend...!
Have a good day... :)
Thank you @mnallica. It's a fun edit isn't it!! I wish I could paint like this!! :)
How did you do that? It looks so different from your original photo. Very nice work.
Photo shop has a lot of filters and edits. There are some free ones online too. It's a lot of fun.
I love it! What a fun way to play with photos. Will have to have some fun with this one. Great post @countrygirl
I think this tag will be one that stays for a long time. It's too fun - I love changing the story of a photo.
I will have to agree with you, this will catch on very quickly
I looked for your entry....not yet? I figured you'd be really good at it. You have a wonderful sense of color and art.
Very cool!
Thank you!
Your edit of the totem pole is great. Are you telling the truth about people using them in their living areas? Cool idea. 🐓🐓
Hmmmm....probably some do....it's a quote. It wouldn't surprise me if people did use them in their homes.
Thanks for your input!
very beautiful
Thanks!
Nice :)
Glad you like it.
Look what happens when you hang around Pablo! Well Done @countrygirl I think you chose the idea 'makeover' for this interesting looking totem pole.
Yes, I too like the colors I chose. I think these are my favorite combinations. I edited a bear yesterday and it ended up with the same color combination. I'm not going to post it though. I'm going to use Friday for funkyedits .
I have no idea what to post today. I didn't post yesterday either. Posting block. Taking a break sometimes is good.
I am looking forward to seeing your bear 🐻 @countrygirl Taking a break is good.......my husband and I spent most of the day on Sunday gadding about Moreton Bay in our sons pleasure boat and ended up catching a few fish. It was great to feel the wind in my hair and enjoy the fresh sea breezes. 😊.........you could always post about the price of eggs in your local supermarket. 😊Whatever you write about would be appreciated. 🌺
That's sweet of you to say @trudeehunter.
Your Sunday sounds like it was fun. Nothing better than the wind whipping your hair around and being at the beach. I love days like that.
I do too @countrygirl ....and it was great to end the day with some delicious baked fish 🎣
i like your funky edit - especially what happened to the clouds!
Oh thank you Diane. I had fun with it. I worked on another one yesterday but I don't plan on doing this edit a lot. It's going to be my Friday project. I found some really great edits in Elements....so I'm going to give that a whirl.
