This is a photoshoot we did with a model Nijole a while ago. Shes a real beauty, and though she is not a professional model, but a professional go-go dancer the photos turned out quite well as she was feeling really relaxed in front of the camera. I would say sh is a natural.
At first we stated with some natural light photos by the big window in my loft apartment.
That nice yellow wardrobe she brought called for a few color finished shots too.
Constant physical exercise resulted in a nice and fit body she has.
Then i have decided to do a few wild fox style shots using hard light (strobe without light modifiers) at the white wall.
Another hard light shot with a changed wardrobe and monochrome conversion to mimic a fashion shot.
Afterwards we have rolled out a black paper background and since she has brought a big bag of clothing we went with a militaristic look
Since she had such a great constitution i pulled out a few t-shirts from my last photoshoot for fitness brand MPP Clothing and we have tried a few of those on.
My editing skills were not that great (not saying they are great now either) but while making that post i saw there the a few unedited shots from that photoshoot back in 2013 so you will be seeing more of Nijole in the upcoming days. You will be able to decide if my retouching skills improved over the years or just got worse :)

Chiaaaamo! esa niña está "al pelo". (Impossible translate it into english)
awesome photo shoot , love the way you play with the lighting , it looks good and the photography is awesome
Thanks mate :)
Superb photos @bescouted, and she is a wonderful model.
She is indeed, and not a professional one so to say. Everybody can be a model! (but me lol)
Nice! beautiful... where did the shooting take place? Which city/country?
Thanks, it was in Vilnius/Lithuania.
Awesome photos, as usual! The ones by the window are my favourite :)
I am more of a studio shooter, but i lean towards natural light more and more as i go :)
They turned out great!
Don't apologize for the lack of your editing skills @bescouted, you are doing everything perfect “the old way” :) Upvoted and resteemed.
Thanks mate, good editing can;t be seen actually and it is obvious in these images :)
Interesting to see the model in the two different setting. You may find it strange, but although I normally go for black&white first, I like photos Nr. 3 and 4 the best. They have an almost painterly quality and with the back light and the "reflections" you added a dream like atmosphere.
Thanks mate, yes, back like introduces that dreamy painterly effect on the images:) By the way i miss your posts already :)
Been on the road this week.. two openings in Austria. Plus I feel a bit overdosed on steemit... trying to put a Tarot card online today though :-)
I see :) Well good to hear you are busy and some new content coming up :)
Ohhh yeah she looks great. Usually dancers, actors and performing artists are great models because they are comfortable with their bodies and have a good understand of it.
Yes, you are very right Sergio :)
Some people are just... lucky :-)
That second image had me biting my fist. Superb set!
Hah hah, imagine me taking it :)
Self control is the way of the Jedi! I am not a Jedi though!
And i am more of a Darth Weider too lol
They don't know the power of the Dark Coffee!!!
lol
In other news: I also noticed that the Spam Goons underestimate the power of the Downvote. Oyy Veyyy
your shots are amazing as always dude. who chooses the poses? do you direct the model or does she lead on that?
No, i am almost complete improviser. Sometimes.i ask the model to stop and come back when i see something that looks really good but most of the time.the moment is gone and unrepeatable.
that makes me feel a little better about my total cluelessness when I am shooting portraits and models :)
There are zillion of ways to do photography. You do not have to do it by the book. Even better, experiment, try, learn, improvise. But you already doing all this. Your work is great.
That's very reassuring thank you :)
fantastic series especially the BW part !
