I am a Brazilian writer living in London and quite often, when I meet someone, I get the same kind of compliment.

My answer is always the same:

Well, maybe is because I am Brazilian.

Some people said that this a very humble answer but I think is true. Brazilians are genuinely nice and friendly.

Apart form that, if I have to speak about myself, I believe I see the world in a different way. I am open to new possibilities. I like to meet people, I like to talk (a lot) and I see life with a happy perspective.

So, if you are interested in learn how to chill out like Brazilians, I selected some pictures and wrote a story for you.

One day I asked my mum:

“Mum, how do you thing Italians chill out?”
“My grandfather was from Calabria and he used to party a lot. So I think that’s what they do here in Venice!”

Later on, we found out that kids chill out on the floor, specially when they wear white clothes.

Okay, let’s take a boat and visit another place.

In Berlin, this German guy showed me his way of chilling. I thought a bit uncomfortable.

"What Barcelona is going to do without Neymar?" This Catalan chills at his balcony and answer: "Who cares, let's chill."

In Lisbon, it’s all about chilling at the sun.

In Cascais, this man found an interesting way to relax.

Ops… I got distracted with the blond chilling view…

When I see fishermen, I think they know a ‘chill out secret’ that we ‘business people’ will never find out.

Let me ride a horse and find another chill place.

In Prague, chilling can be dangerous.

In Amsterdam, the dog is fed up with so many tourists chilling because they are high on weed or on magic mushrooms.

My friend is feeling super zen in Ibiza…

Even the capybaras in Horto Florestal, in São Paulo are chilling… come on.. you can do it!

I love how some people can chill while they are standing.

This is not a problem for my buddy in Jardim Botânico, Rio de Janeiro.

In the favela Santa Marta, Rio de Janeiro, chilling means cold beer.

Okay, it’s not so easy to chill out for you, so let’s get some information with my dad.
“Dad, how can I convince people to chill out?”

“I don’t know Marcelli, sometimes is very difficult for me as well. Give me a minute, I need to think about it...”

“Okay, dad but don’t take too long, people don’t have time to wait. Have you got the answer?”
“Yes but I am chilling now.”

“Chill, Marcelli. Tell your Steemian friends that the secret to chill is simple…”
