This camera is really amazing, with its 60x optical zoom on a 35mm lens (well it is why we chose it).
Today we walked a little along the little river that flows through our city in Italy (Pistoia), and I took some shots of one of the herons and some of the common moorhens living there.
I was around 50 meters away from the birds when I took the photos.
For the heron I used the digital zoom (4x beyond the 60x optical). I was around 100 meters away from it.
Not bad for a urban birdwatching! :)
