RE: It's A Giant Ladybug! It's A Bee! It's A Beetle Rolled into One!

Amusing story I love it. The bug looks really like a bee, but obviously he also pollinate like other insect. Nowadays, when there are sunny warm days it is a pleasure to stay in garden until very late and enjoy the weather, fresh air and the live. Only the negative side, once we are in garden and would like to enjoy grill then it will be one or two wasps annoying and disturbing our meal. Last summer their stings cause allergy to my mother-in-law. This time we will be more careful :)

I think I hang out in my garden till it gets dark unless I'm in my veggie garden which I leave also when it gets dark and that's like 11 pm hahahaha am a gardening addict hahaha

sorry to hear bout the wasp incident
I hope she's fine
we have no problems with wasps just more of flies
but lighting candles help

Just a query we have a Cherry laurel just at terrace therefore, once we sit there and have something to eat the wasps immediately there too. Have you noticed if wasps like those bushes and nest there?

I have no idea
not a wasp expert here
they are attracted to sweets were you eating anything with honey, sugar or maple syrup or caramelized sugar and the likes? they'd go for that
