Nietzsche called westerners bliss addicts
sitting in lotus positions craving time
and love, sweet charity, and tits
to suck on like nursery rhyme
while fists pound--original
you post fluff and circumstance
and magically it's a windfall
of typical ego mantra
that misses cardboard homes
panhandling dreams that drone
That's what I've been telling teens, to get off the poison nipple. You suckle the breast and then you have alcohol and cigarettes which is a poison nipple.
Nice work but I believe seeking inner peace and working for a better world aren't mutually exclusive. Beginning within is really the only way to change this external world. It begins within.
I'd argue seeking inner peace is a waste of time and gets you further from the actuality of the world. Giving yourself the illusion of negating your suffering hardly changes the facts on the ground and is the equivalent of treating your brain as a wet nurse. Nietzsche broke his brain getting us beyond fantasy (or at least a few of them)--and I'm not going to let his efforts be in vain.
We'll have to agree to disagree on this, @generalizethis. Have a good day.
