RE: I Look in Your Face

in #poetry7 years ago (edited)

You take off your sweater
In darkness
And static flares
As a tiny lightning storm;
I am the same
At the end of your fingertips.

As enchanting as the subject herself - really beautifully expressed. The immense power of nature condensed into this unassuming, domestic act, then reflected into a touch, and an emotion. A perfect example of the personal as universal. Very nicely done!
