Hemp Crackdown in Texas?

Is there a hemp crackdown going on in TX?

For years there has been growing support for cannabis freedom in Texas and around the United States. Today there are several states already that have full cannabis markets, bringing thousands of jobs with them and billions of dollars in sales.

There is reportedly widespread support for seeing cannabis changes in TX and there is still the wait to see something done on the federal landscape with it too.

In Texas they've allegedly recently sued the DEA over problems some say they are having with selling legal hemp in the state these days though, this comes after several raids on shops that are allegedly selling hemp products.

It has also been previously reported that lawmakers in the region wanted to seek to limit hemp markets as well.

There will always be those who want to engage in restrictions when it comes to individual liberty.

There are some who want to crackdown despite the argument that cannabis relates to human freedom and personal choice, some would rather perpetuate the idea that it's all just a liberal conspiracy or agenda to bring ruin to cities who have legalized.

This narrative seems to ignore the many veterans and conservatives that work in this industry, grow cannabis themselves, or who use it or who have family members or friends who use it for medicinal purposes. It's ignorant to paint the expansion of the cannabis market as any one-sided agenda.

It has taken great grassroots effort from many around the United States and elsewhere to seek those changes.

Were the raids on the hemp shops a coordinated effort of some kind seeking to dampen optimism in the market, or would that alone be enough to make someone want to close up shop? Aside from the raids it has also been reported that several people were arrested too.

Hemp products have been sold around the state for years now, they also have their compassionate use program too. But they aren't as advanced on a cannabis market obviously like that of their neighbors in NM, but there is still promise of one day seeing those changes perhaps even on a federal level. Who knows how long it might be though until significant adjustments are made in the market.
