My opinion
Fuck all the political correctness, Donald Trump doesn't have any of that too. 2 days ago the President of the United States of America stated at an NRA meeting that if someone in the audience had a gun the massacre at "Le Bataclan" wouldn't have happened or would have been less severe...
WTF? These terrorists were carrying semi-automatic, military rifles, that shot more than 60 rounds per minute... And that doesn't even matter. Imagine someone in the audience shooting too. That would have caused even more panic, and probably would have had an adverse effect on the other people. With persons getting trampled and suffocating because of that.
Screw the 2nd amendment
The founding father of the USA wrote that every citizen has the right to carry arms. Well this was in 1779, where a musket was the arm of that moment. You needed to reload every bullet with gun powder, so you could probably shoot a bullet per minute at maximum. Compare that with what is on the streets now... That has no comparison.
And now the gun lovers will say, well if someone wants to carry a gun, he will. Ok, that's a good point. But when there are so many legal guns around, it is also much easier to get an illegal gun, because there are so many guns in circulation.
In fact, a nuclear weapon is right about now, the heaviest "arm" around, so actually what the 2nd amendment says is that you are allowed to carry a nuclear bomb too... Anyone up for that in America? I don't think so.
Get real people, and don't be fooled by all the fake statistics around, tens of thousands of people die every year in America because of fire arms. That is not the case in Europe, really, it isn't! How come, you think?
Sincerely,
What about the right for free food, water and shelter for millions who live on the streets under the sky.
Politicians have always had law ideas induced by lobbyists to support their businesses.
From my perspective Mahatma Gandhi was a true politician. A person who worked for the people and not against them.
This unlawful killings in U.S calls for a drastic review of America guns law. How can people life be wasted just because the law allow mejority of the citizen to own a gun. The government of U.S need to swing into action and unravel the cause of all this killings.
They are making false flag attacks so they can seize our firearms so we cannot defend ourselfs....
There's a reason why nobody would start shooting at an NRA rally... too many people could shoot back.
That's why these mass shooters like to choose soft targets like schools, where the closest person that could stop the attack is the police an average 9-12 minutes away.
What reasoning... This just does not happen in Europe, at least not at the frequency this happens in USA. Think about it!
When there are no guns, then criminals will begin to use knives or any other weapon that is perceived to give an advantage.
Isn't London now seeing more violent crime than NYC? The issue is not a gun issue, but a mental health and crime issue.
Bottom line: God forbid someone breaks into your home; would you prefer to defend yourself? Or would you prefer to wait 10+ minutes for police to handle it for you (assuming you live long enough for them to help)?
yep, have you ever seen a mass school shooting with knives? And what you say about London is absolutely not correct. There are more violent crimes for the moment, but not nearly what happens in an average American city. Don't be fooled by mainstream media. And God forbid I would ever have a gun in my house. Imagine you having a mental breakdown and having a gun in your house, not a good idea. And believe me, anyone can have a mental breakdown...
Oddly, the cities with the worst gun crimes are those with the strongest gun laws. Why would that be?
I would argue that if everyone and their dog has a gun, people will think twice about committing crime because there's a greater chance that they will not live to enjoy the fruits of that crime.
China has had a mass stabbing at a school, and the U.K. has had many mass stabbings. If this isn't true, please point me to articles or studies that show otherwise.
The two safest states in U.S., also, have least amount gun laws. To be fair, the most objective gun studies, in general, show that restricting or promoting gun ownership doesn't have an affect on violence in America. Turns out a very high rate of chronic violence occurs in same dense urban areas that have poor socioeconomic conditions.
Even though the U.S. has a high death rate of suicide by guns, many other industrialized European and Asian countries have a much higher rate of suicide despite having no to little access to firearms.
If you take an objective view of America's violence, restricting firearms isn't the panacea that is going to drive down violence. If we really want to reduce the rate murder, crime, and suicides, the effort should be concentrated on improving socioeconomic conditions and suicide prevention.
I appreciate your point. I don't own guns. In Canada, i cant afford the trial to prove I did everything to alter the outcome.
However, i understand the importance of having the ability to defend yourself against criminals. What would you do if you unlocked your door and were pushed into your home by someone who wants what you have??
What happened in my case was that I was able to grab a bad ass knife that ths guy could not have known was there. When he had the blade at his throat, i saw his fist twitching as he calculated his odds. The guy turned away and ran.
Take an honest look for yourself, what would you do? Would you prefer be able to fight back, or just hope that all they want is stuff..
Btw- 4 more london SHOOTINGS (no guns) in 72 hours.
wow very nice
