I don't believe in disorders such as ADD. What the diagnosis pretty much says is that based on western values you cannot sit down for hours and hours in order to learn something that might not even interest you.
You are the healthy one, not the other way around.

I strongly feel the same, however I also believe everyone doesn have similar mindset to digest it..... ADD is real and depends on people's perspective towards it :)
For me psychology does not apply. It's not science. Psychology assumes that the average behaviour is "normal" and the more you deviate from that bull curve the more "sick" you are.
absurd.
I think of it more as a certain kind of persons reaction to a certain kind of situation. There is certainly nothing wrong with them and it's also pretty grey and only seems black and white because labels make it black or white.
I can relate to a lot of your experiences at school. As one of these people, I do agree it's a gift and I've disregarded the label completely because I don't benefit from it. It says more about society than it says about me.
Now I see what u r trying to say, you are spot on with your statement.... Psychology is not science... n assuming normal behaviour to be an yardstick to measure the level of sanity is just sick... I agree 200%
society is completely dysfunctional. as soon as one sees it and understand the cause, individual healing occurs, gradually or practically overnight, depending on the person's awareness. Many people do not get rid of dogmas easily even if they understand
