Good read. Psychology fascinates me. I wonder how this witness psychology can affect witnesses on Steem and graphene chains in general. Do you or anyone else know whether this conformatity of witness accounts is particular to humans?

I understand it is just a name. an apt name. they perform similar functions. I don't know the witnesses work on Steem but I presume they are hard-coded, but then why would everyone be constantly asking for witness votes? There has to be some value or power in that.
The higher you go in upvotes andthe SP those voters have, the more you get to process blocks. So you get STEEM for being a witness, more when your higher in the list. The top 19 can block changes int he code.
Thanks boss, I really had no idea how the witness process really worked, all I keep seeing is ppl begging for witness votes in the bottom of their posts.
