How will the job market look like in a future where robots can do everything we can do, but better?
Some say that, if the workforce can be fully replaced by robots, or even not totally, but largelly replaced, we will need to create a Universal Basic Income, and adopt socialism. The product of the robots work would be distributed to the population.
There are specialists that are also predicting that, if we don't share the wealth created by these robots and algorithms, the world will become extremely unequal, and an wealth elite will rule us.
I disagree with that predictions, I have a more optmistic view of the future, but also a very strange one. I believe that given the fact that business tend to gain more profit when they meet the needs of the masses, it is unlikely that, in the future the Business elite will be formed by business man that provide products and services only for a small minority.
Regarding the possibility of socialism became a nececity, I disagree with that, because, not only we will probably create new jobs that we will like that a human perform, stead of a machine, not because the human will do it better, but, because he is human.
Think about it, for a moment. Imagine the you live in a world where most of the decisions are make by algorithms, and most of the work is done by robots. If robots and AI are the rule, human work will become a luxury. Imagine how much will you brag about had your house painted by a human artist, how vintage that will be. Every ordinary human work of today, will be extraordinary in the future.
To sum up, I'm making these predictions base in the assumption that we have an intrinsic necessity of find something to do, and that among all beings of the animal kingdom, we are still the strangest of them all.
