I stood and saw great investments devastated and ravaged by bomb blasts,
people loosing their lives, and others being driven to destitution.
The earthquakes, tsunamis, typhoons, wild fires and epidemics claiming
lives of many.
Investments that took hundreds of years to be established being blown
up in a split second.
Young men and women with great dreams, visions and ambitions being
denied the chance to see their dreams come to pass.
Sudden terror and they are gone and forgotten.
With great sorrow I sighed and asked my self,
<What will matter '100 years' from now?
<What will remain?
<What will count?
I retreated and returned to seek the truth about the existence that is endless and
not time bound, and how humans can attain this.
The findings were 'viviparous' !
- There is life after the earthly life and this life is everlasting.
- There is one called the life and the resurrection.
- Heaven and earth will pass away but the Word shall remain forever.
I got a beacon of hope.
I now knew if I had this Word in me I would live forever by it.
I then rose up, I looked at the gains of my sweat; fame, the greenbacks,
the sterling and the cable and then understood that none of them would
be with me '100 years' from now but the Word would.
Knowing that the Word abides forever brought me great relief from the trouble I had had.
I now knew there is hope for everyone and by simple faith it would be possible for
anyone to be ushered into a life that knows no time, a life that is endless.
This is because the truth says, "for God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) That son is Jesus the Christ.
What will matter to you '100 years' from now?
