Hello everyone,
Even though it seems the cryptocurrency markets are undergoing correction with some coins dipping down double digits, one coin that has been very steady and seen a rise of almost 33% over the past few days is Ripple's native token XRP. XRP reached little over 0.28 USD for a while today before sliding back down below 0.28 level. What is even more significant is the rise in the market cap that is once again over 10 billion USD. What seems to be driving the price of XRP now is the SWELL by Ripple conference that will take place from 16 - 18 Oct. The recent rise might not be over just yet and the price still has room to rise before the conference starts. The question all of us that are fans of Ripple now is if the price will sustain after the conference is over or if the correction will take place after the event is finished. It is all based on the fact how the conference will go and if any major announcements will come out of it. I personally believe that there will be some positive news coming out by the end which will hopefully not only sustain the recent gains but will also increase the price of XRP even further. After all the Ripple is solving a real problem of the ancient system of money transfers that is slow and expensive and when the adoption by big banks takes place the price of XRP will increase significantly. Those are just my thoughts but one thing I am certainly happy about right now is the fact that all the haters of XRP are at least quite for now as they have nothing bad to say when the price movement is positive. BTC should have been in everyone's portfolio already. Today is a great day to buy STEEM as it is dirt cheap with a massive, massive growth potential. Steem on!
Today I'm bought XRP at 5700 and sell it on 5900 after this scenario it's really huge profit for me lol!
I would not go for short-term profits. XRP is for a long haul as the potential is massive.... once it starts its move it will go several times over in the matter of few weeks as it has done in the past.
Ive noticed all the ICOs are pretty much being mass dumped now and pushing back into the top few coins again which are approved for trading.
The big shift to BTC now as people want their free BTCG..... BTC market dominance at 53% now which is a big move back up.... If it goes like this BTC back to 5000 by the end of the week or even sooner.

Let's see how SWELL ends, if they announce some big new which I believe they will then we have 1 USD ripple by the end of the month and Ripple market cap taking over ETH.
Most alt coins are seeing double-digit losses because of the upcoming Bitcoin gold hardfork. I it's a great time to buy alts at a discount. Regarding XRP, I think it's important to be aware of the difference between Ripple as a cryptocurrency and Ripple as a company. Swell will feature news about both and it's important to be able to tell the difference. The main question at this stage is regarding adoption, many banks are actively testing the XRP but Ripple has made it clear that they can offer services regardless if a bank decides to use the XRP tokens. This is the defining choice that will drive XRP price. If during Swell a bank announces it will use Ripple software and tech, but it doesn't say that it'll use XRP then it's not necessarily good news for the token. Just a thought, something to keep in mind in your investment strategy.
Thanks ever so much for your feedback and opinion. All the money is fleeing back to BTC in the anticipation of BTCG right now like you have pointed out. It is in every interest of Ripple's company for XRP to succeed as it is their most valuable asset. Let's see how SWELL ends but I have a feeling something big will be announced. The timing with SIBOS and the level of speakers as well as a recent interview with the Brad, the CEO of Ripple is all pointing in that direction. I am well diversified and if only one of my coins hits the nail then I am laughing all the way:).... Have a good one!

Xrp will go above a dollar by 2018 and few days it will possibly cross 30 cents
1 USD by the end of the year would be a dream! The XRP has the potential to disrupt banking industry and the growth over the next few years could be fairly significant. Don't get fooled by hundreds of dollars but 10 or 20 USD in the next 3 to 5 years is very achievable.

The next significant market cap will be when XRP overtakes ETH - some 30 billion. If SWELL ends up with some big news announcement that could happen by the end of the month.
