For the purpose of the game, as it takes no physical effort, psychologically an aid-station at the top of the hill sounds better. as a thought for the future runs.
Is it possible to have an idea of the track we are running along? the next mile [K] is .... then ...... up a .... hill so many[ M] high, Down a ...... through a raging class 6 river..... etc.
For those who have more sense than trying to destroy our bodies in real life it would help with the planning, how fast/how far.
those brave souls who have done the run know what is ahead, those from overseas have no real idea where and what the track is like.
just a thought.
I actually googled it lol....didn't get a lot of info but there is a route map. Sad, I know but I think doing a bit of work researching and then making a slightly more (very slightly more!) educated guess is a great part of the game :-)
I was thinking aloud for the future, if Trevor does an imaginary course, somewhere that is non-existent, so you can't ask Uncle Google for info.
He could base it on places he has been, with rivers to cross, swing bridges to negotiate, blazing desserts, the mind boggles.
It was just a thought that he may be able to incorporate in the future.
Cool. Thanks for that.
They should have an aid station at the top of the hill with beds so I can have a lie-down and plenty of gels to restock.
I wish!
The aid station is at the bottom of the hill, so you're not far from it.
I spent about 15 minutes there when I got down. The marshals had to come along and tell me to get moving, otherwise I'd probably still be there!
