Resurgence films is currently making a mini-feature come feature movie.. "Australian Werecat." As horror is considered the easiest foot in the door in the film industry we have embraced the genre. As a genre, horror is fun and easy to work with on a low budget.
Australian Werecat Synopsis:
Having isolated the 'were' virus from a werewolf specimen collected abroad, an Australian professor lords over his first infected feline subject on the eve of the full moon as he awaits the subjects first 'were' transformation. Unfortunately the subject infects a series of human beings before accidentally escaping the professors domain therefore releasing the virus into the broader public and causing societal chaos.. all taking place over the time frame of 24 hours!
The movie begun pre-production almost two years ago and remains, 'in the making.' Progress is being made slowly and limited, (aka probably very limited), release is perhaps a mere year away. Please see poster below...
Somehow I read that as 'Australian Women's Werecat Cookbook', but then, I'm hungry.
Glad to see the were-thing genre hasn't been forgotten amongst all the pretty vampires and blood-crazed fairies. Good luck with it!
Hhaha! Thanks hockney... we're actually shooting an additional scene that was added to the script on one of the actors request next weekend... super exciting stuff! : )

Well that looks 'interesting'. I am sure you have a lot of fun with this. Some of the best horror movies were made on a low budget.
Thanks Steve. It certainly is a lot of fun. Sometimes frustrating, but mostly fun. And yes!.. look at how The Blair Witch did at the box office.
