For a boxer who stood firm for his faith and his believes, a righteous person on many's eyes, he eventually becomes a targeted torn at the side for those people in the dark who wants nothing but money rigging, so to speak, wouldn't you agree?

I personally feel it was purely to do with money and a little to do with faith, however I wouldn't disagree that Manny is a very humble guy so would let the corruption slide regardless if he would see it. And that in itself played a massive role in having him stitched up.
I would have thought both ways. Because people who gambles does not like anyone who will now bow down to corruption.
I did not watch the match but some people said he did really good and looked like an obvious rigged game.
