I've made posts in the past defending the Recharge ability in Splinterlands. It's not my favorite ability to use; However, it doesn't deserve to be on the trash section of any tier list. The running joke I hear is that Recharge is best used in Back to Basics ruleset. I couldn't except the fate of such a new ability.
I've previously covered Recharge in Equalizer, and using Recharge to nuke Forcefield. Today I wanted to look at Blast.
In the pinned battle, I'm using a level four Insideous Warlock against a Thaddeus Brood.
The ruleset is Blast with Odds. Naturally, my Recharge forfeits the first turn to charge it's beam. The opponents Thaddeus Brood reduced my magic damage to the minimum stat of one damage. When I land my attack in the second turn, it hit my opponent for three damage. The Blast damage also hit for three damage. In my previous post on Forcefield, I came to the understanding that Recharge only triples the damage after the base damage is dealt. This is why you can land a hit with a four attack stat, you can deal Twelve damage to a monster that has Forcefield. This is also why I landed three damage off of a splash rather than the two damage I expected to see.

With the speculations on the upcoming stats on the Chaos Legion's legendary airdrop summoners, I don't believe we will see the upcoming Riftwatchers/reward rework ability currently deemed "Reflect Deflect".
Matt had originally had mentioned that the one or two of the reward cards may have a new ability from the Riftwatchers mini set. I feel like they will save such an ability for that set and use the abilities new to Chaos Legion with Chaos Legion summoners. One of those new abilities is Forcefield and another is Recharge. I feel like Forcefield is likely to find it's way on one of the new summoners. Recharge will have more use cases in the evolving meta. It is maybe a good idea to stock up on these cards now as they are some of the cheapest units in the game currently.
