Antique steam tractor powering a sawmill.

@socky Here is the first clip of several that I shot that shows steam tractors/engines in operation.

This is from a demonstration taken at the "Missouri River Valley Steam Engine Association" reunion in Booneville, MO.

What you see here is an almost 100 year old Case steam tractor powering a sawmill. The tractor is driven up to the mill. A belt is placed against the flywheel of the tractor then it was backed up to take up slack. The reason for the twist in the belt is to keep it tracking over the flywheels. The tractor is then brought up to speed and the sawmill operator works the slip clutches to feed wood while the blade is constantly spinning.

If you are interested in attending this steam engine show. It is September 6-9th 2018 outside Booneville Missouri at the Wooldridge exit off of I-70 in middle Missouri USA. Accommodations are available in Columbia or Booneville Missouri. I am in no way affiliated with the steam engine association, but I do think antique machinery is cool.

Full Disclosure. I did not realize that I posted this a month ago and that there was a copy hanging out in my drafts section of busy. I was going to delete it but then my Steem Basic Income liked it and if I delete my post I loose my weekly payout. :( I hope you enjoy the video and will be posting more of them in the future.

Thank you
